Gwendolyn Renee Robinson was a 20-year-old woman whose remains were found near a farm in Clay County, Missouri, on the 18th of April 1985. She had been shot in the head several times.
Gwendolyn remained an unidentified person for 39 years until her daughter, Deoina Mitchell, reported her missing in the summer of 2022. On the 8th of August 2022, a NamUs file was opened for her and on the 5th of September 2022, the Charley Project added a file about Gwendolyn as well.
It was intelligence analyst Darin Lee who noticed the resemblance between Gwendolyn and the reconstruction images made by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
On the 8th of September 2022, Gwendolyn was formerly identified.
Gwendolyn’s family last saw her in the June or July of 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri. The last known documentation of Gwendolyn was her marriage licence that was issued on the 7th of March 1983. She was not seen or heard from again.
Gwendolyn’s murder still remains unsolved.
