Deep River John Doe

Deep River John Doe is the name given to a man who was found deceased on a bench in the Laurentian Hills near Deep River, Ontario on the 5th of September 2001.

John Doe was discovered in the outhouse outside of a locked ski cabin owned by the Deep River Cross Country Ski Club. It is likely that he had been hiking for several miles, as there are no vehicle-accessible roads or any other means of transport in the area.

He had died as a result of a stimulant overdose, most likely caused by overuse of caffeine and weightless pills. It is not known if he committed suicide, or if he was purposely killed through these drugs.

John Doe is described as being a white male between the ages of 28-40, between 5″3′ and 5″4′ and weighing 130lbs. He was of a slim build but in good physical condition, he had good dental hygiene, no tattoos or scars, brown hair with blue eyes and he was near-sighted which meant he would have worn glasses. He was well-tanned and his face was recently sunburnt.

At the time of his death, he was wearing a black Fundamentals t-shirt, size medium, a dark blue long-sleeved cotton shirt, Pepe brand blue jeans with a button-fly (size 30), black leather Calvin Klein belt, Replay black running shoes size small and fairly worn, Jockey black cotton shorts, and grey Triathlon socks.

John Doe also had a blue nylon Eagle Creek knapsack which contained a candle lantern, mini-mag flashlight, water container, matchbooks from Sheraton Hotel, W Hotels (An American chain), and the Barclay Hotel in Vancouver, Levi’s pocket watch with a blue face and a built-in compass, a luggage tag sticker from a Costa Rican domestic airline, a plastic laundry bag from Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto, two protein bars from a G.N.C. Store most likely from the US, an empty bottle of Rapid Fat Loss pills, an empty bottle of caffeine pills and a white tube of Acnomel acne cream.

He wore prescription glasses for nearsightedness that had a copper Koh Sakai frame and a reflective coating on the lenses. He was also wearing a ring on his right pinky finger that was composed of silver, aluminium, stainless steel and an aquamarine stone.
