Mount Veeder Man

Mount Veeder Man (or Mt. Veeder Man) is the name given to an unidentified male who was found deceased in Mount Veeder, California on the 17th of October, 1997. He is believed to have died many years before he was found, perhaps as early as 1980.

The cause of his death was a gunshot wound, but police are unsure if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted or if someone else shot him. A .22 calibre revolver was discovered underneath his body, and the gun was traced to a burglary in Arizona.

A bottle of Smirnoff Vodka and Budweiser beer cans were also found scattered around the scene, and the dates on the bottle and cans lotted to 1981.

Mount Veeder man is described as being a white or Hispanic male between the ages of 26 and 32, between 5″6′ and 5″11′. His weight is unknown, and it is thought that there is a gap of between 15-17 years from his death to the time he was discovered.

If you recognise Mount Veeder man or have any information that could lead to his identification, please contact the Napa County Sheriff’s Office at 707-253-4209.
